Entering the 88th year of her life, Yayoi Kusama is still a very active and productive artist as she continues her artistic journey as if there were no day off in her calendar. The vivid colored artworks and images of polka dot flowers, pumpkins, and children have been admired by both her Japanese and international followers and, as a testament to her reputation, the past decades of the global contemporary art scene have witnessed several of the world’s most renowned museums hosting one after another of Kusama’s solo exhibitions with her past works being enthusiastically celebrated.

Reaffirming her prominent status in the art world, Yayoi Kusama’s art museum is set to open this coming October 1st.
