RETURN OF THE GIMMICK – Torlarp Larpjaroensook has brought a number of objects from everyday life to connect with the Artel Nimman, Chiang Mai’s new small hotel. Once again we’ve seen the ‘decoration’ approach taken on by an artist who offers a different point of view when it comes to process and experience.
TOGETHER – Barn House is just what it sounds like, a dwelling designed for horses and people to cohabit under one roof. This compact (66 square meter) experimental dwelling aims to supply half of the electricity for the house by fermentation of the horse’s manure. At a time when the term ‘sustainability’ is on everyone’s mind, this might be an answer for tomorrow…
THE STORY OF MR. LU- Focusing his attention on temporary forms of wage labor, Taiwanese artist Yu-Cheng Chou presents a multilayered project that interweaves narrative and the consumption of labor through Mr. Lu’s career as a temporary worker.
