CONTENTS

HOMETOWN  –  Melbourne-based artist Vipoo Srivilasa invites people to be a part of an international project creating sculptural objects that represent a person, place or thing that they miss about their home. Thai na Town Little-Oz stems from a desire by the artist to engage with the multitude of stories of migrant experiences.

VERTICAL RESPONSE  –  Architect Yuko Nagayama created an interactive facade of colored lights and carefully removed floors and ceilings to give the space an extra dimension in renovating an old Inn into a contemporary hotel in the small seaside town of Uwajima.

EXTREMELY COMPLEX  –  Pinnacle@Duxton project demonstrates a sustainable and livable environment for urban high-rise, high-density homes. The project redefines public housing in Singapore and possible for the world.

GOOD FOOD CAN BE FAST – Design studio Mansikkamaki+JOY designed the GRAB restaurant in London where diners sit on plastic stools at tables made of scaffolding and furniture made from building materials to reflect the image of urban street vending in Thailand.

MADE IN SIAM  –  Roj Siam Ruay is nationally acclaimed for his retro style typography and graphic design. Particularly since creating the identity for the movie ‘Tears of the Black Tiger,’ with his distinctive brand of typography.
