TRASH IN THE CITY  –   Spanish group Basurama travels around the world creating provocative projects to change people’s attitudes towards trash. In their Bangkok Design Festival 2012 installation, they turned thousands of used plastic bags into a group of monsters!

YES WE’RE OPEN  –   Tonkao Panin has recently designed her family’s house from a feeling of wanting to live in the open air, where the indoor areas feel like the outdoor and the other way around. The relationship between spaces and the architectural components are quite interesting. This is a comfortable house to live in indeed.

RICE CHICKEN OR PASTA?  –   Located in Milan and Singapore, Creativeans is a multidisciplinary group focusing on visual communication, brand strategy, product and space design, along with design management. This promising group is expected to be Singapore’s next wave!

TIME TRAVEL –  Somboon Homtientong has been working within the contemporary art scene for more than half a century and creating a variety of profound works of art. His return to the spotlight will be a flashback to his childhood when he was impressed by a hero from a comic book. This becomes an extraordinary process of collaboration.

BUSINESS OF THINKERS  –   BODW 2012, with Denmark as the partnering country, brought a number of the world’s top talents under the same roof as usual. Among the top Danish brands and design experts included were 3XN, KiBiSi along with a number of remarkable modernists. The architectural and cross-disciplinary speakers included Thomas Heatherwick (UK), Richard Zapper (Germany), Kazuyo Sejima (Japan) to name a few…

ARCHITECTURE FOR EVERYONE  –  The opening of Building 80 (Swanston Academic Building-SAB) represents a major milestone for RMIT. The state-of-the-art design and technology introduce a new and exciting era of learning, teaching and research at the university.

AWESOME HOLIDAYS – As Khao Yai National Park area sees a boom in terms of tourism and land development, we always find new projects emerging. Surprisingly, oen of them is an art museum aimed to be another main attraction to tourists visiting Khao Yai.
