Looklen Architects rises to this challenge by stripping aluminum back to its raw, industrial essence—revealing it as manufacturers see it before coating, spraying, or finishing processes alter its character. The design concept centers on showcasing bundled aluminum in its pure, untreated form, highlighting its raw beauty and structural potential. The pavilion’s architecture is anchored in a column-beam system, tilting at a 45-degree angle to introduce a sense of movement and dynamism.</span></span></p> <div id="metaslider-id-105803" style="width: 100%;" class="ml-slider-3-94-0 metaslider metaslider-flex metaslider-105803 ml-slider has-onhover-arrows ms-theme-default-base has-dots-nav" role="region" aria-roledescription="Slideshow" aria-label="ARCHITECT’25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS_05"> <div id="metaslider_container_105803"> <div id="metaslider_105803"> <ul class='slides'> <li style="display: block; width: 100%;" class="slide-105819 ms-image " aria-roledescription="slide" aria-label="slide-105819"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Perspective_01_low-res.jpg" height="844" width="1500" alt="ARCHITECT’ 25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS" class="slider-105803 slide-105819" title="Perspective_01_low res" /></li> <li style="display: none; width: 100%;" class="slide-105811 ms-image " aria-roledescription="slide" aria-label="slide-105811"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Perspective_02_low-res.jpg" height="844" width="1500" alt="" class="slider-105803 slide-105811" title="Perspective_02_low res" /></li> <li style="display: none; width: 100%;" class="slide-105810 ms-image " aria-roledescription="slide" aria-label="slide-105810"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Perspective_03_low-res.jpg" height="844" width="1500" alt="" class="slider-105803 slide-105810" title="Perspective_03_low res" /></li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="alignnone wp-image-105839 size-full" src="http://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy.jpg" alt="" width="1639" height="847" srcset="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy.jpg 1639w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy-300x155.jpg 300w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy-1024x529.jpg 1024w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy-1536x794.jpg 1536w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy-1000x517.jpg 1000w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Unit-Installation-copy-600x310.jpg 600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1639px) 100vw, 1639px" /></p> <p><span style="font-family: rm-regular; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The aluminum bundles are arranged in three modular lengths—6.35 meters, 5.35 meters, and 3.85 meters—while the beams and columns interweave along two additional axes to enhance structural integrity. This approach minimizes the need for perforation, ensuring that at the end of the exhibition, both the utilized aluminum and its offcuts remain in pristine condition, ready to be repurposed by manufacturers. Beyond its striking architectural framework, the pavilion extends the exploration of aluminum through custom-designed furniture and multimedia installations, offering visitors unexpected perspectives on this everyday material.</span></span></p> <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-105740 aligncenter" src="http://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All.jpg" alt="ARCHITECT’ 25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS" width="2048" height="1448" srcset="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All.jpg 2048w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All-300x212.jpg 300w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All-1024x724.jpg 1024w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All-1536x1086.jpg 1536w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All-1000x707.jpg 1000w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/Step_All-600x424.jpg 600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 2048px) 100vw, 2048px" /></p> <div id="metaslider-id-105739" style="width: 100%;" class="ml-slider-3-94-0 metaslider metaslider-flex metaslider-105739 ml-slider has-onhover-arrows ms-theme-default-base has-dots-nav" role="region" aria-roledescription="Slideshow" aria-label="ARCHITECT’ 25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS_02"> <div id="metaslider_container_105739"> <div id="metaslider_105739"> <ul class='slides'> <li style="display: block; width: 100%;" class="slide-105798 ms-image " aria-roledescription="slide" aria-label="slide-105798"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/12.jpg" height="1097" width="878" alt="ARCHITECT’25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS" class="slider-105739 slide-105798" title="12" /></li> <li style="display: none; width: 100%;" class="slide-105797 ms-image " aria-roledescription="slide" aria-label="slide-105797"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/11.jpg" height="1097" width="878" alt="ARCHITECT’25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS" class="slider-105739 slide-105797" title="11" /></li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> <p><span style="font-family: rm-regular; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;"><b>FLAT12x x Vanachai Group</b></span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: rm-regular; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Plywood, a cornerstone of Vanachai Group’s product line, takes center stage in a striking tunnel installation that rises as a commanding architectural feature. Inspired by the interplay of mirrored surfaces and vibrant materials, the design expands beyond a singular viewpoint, transforming into an engaging, ever-shifting environment. Unlike a traditional kaleidoscope, where visuals change through rotation, here the pavilion responds to movement—allowing each visitor’s position and perspective to shape a unique visual experience.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: rm-regular; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Suspended above The Forest of Mirrors, a robust yet hidden framework supports the structure’s expansive roof and oversized louvers. These two ideas materialize in the pavilion’s architectural design, each offering a distinct spatial experience. The first, My Time, takes shape as a sweeping aluminum structure at the pavilion’s entrance—a fluid, curving form that evokes the continuous passage of time. This element represents Fameline’s current achievements, serving as the foundation for the company’s future advancements and ongoing progress.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: rm-regular; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The second, My Space, emphasizes the role and significance of materials in architectural design. Conceived as a versatile cladding wall, it showcases the adaptability and creative potential of cladding solutions. Innovations such as color-shifting panels and adjustable-angle surfaces are seamlessly integrated with lighting design, creating dynamic, reflective effects that transform in response to their surroundings. To further enhance engagement, visitors can interact with AR and VR simulations, providing a realistic visualization of how these materials function in different architectural applications.</span></span></p> <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-105780 size-full" src="http://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res.jpg" alt="ARCHITECT’25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS" width="1500" height="1000" srcset="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res.jpg 1500w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res-300x200.jpg 300w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res-1000x667.jpg 1000w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res-660x440.jpg 660w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res-373x248.jpg 373w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T1_low-res-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px" /></p> <p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-105781 size-full" src="http://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T2_low-res.jpg" alt="ARCHITECT’25: ALL THEMATIC PAVILIONS" width="1500" height="844" srcset="https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T2_low-res.jpg 1500w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T2_low-res-300x169.jpg 300w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T2_low-res-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T2_low-res-1000x563.jpg 1000w, https://art4d.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/T2_low-res-600x338.jpg 600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px" /></p> <p><span style="font-family: rm-regular; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Which of these pavilion concepts resonates most with you?
