DECA ATELIER 1997-2013

Established and based in Bangkok since 1993 by Somchai Jongsaeng, the works of Deca Atelier are about providing an experience for the senses beyond mere funcitonality. Initially focused on interior design, the exploration and articulation of spatial experiences have led to building commissions and the practice to gradually develop a distinct architectural language, where the boundaries between interior design, architecture and the natural environment are questioned and increasingly blurred. Light, materials and form are combined to provoke an emotional response through designs that begin from the inside out.
