CALLING ALL BAG NERDS –   From a messenger service company in the 80s turned unique brand ‘Crumpler’ in 1995, this international business now has headquarters in Melbourne and Berlin with 50 retail stores around the world including locations in New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and recently, Bangkok.

Tang’ has commissioned Ministry of Design (MOD) to fundamentally redefine its retail experience by establishing a new strategy for the whole space. This time we can learn how Colin Seah implemented his design + branding solutions .

SUBURBAN AMBITIONS –   Local practice Eureka has finalized ‘Dragon Court Village,’ a residential development in Aichi, Japan that incorporates elements of both privacy and nature within its design .

EFFECTIVELY AFFECTED –   “I believe in crudeness says Tom Danneker of thingsmatter whose recent residential project named ‘Affected Shed’ is quite unconventional. For a design team like thingsmatter, known for creating experimental projects and intellectual exhibitions, one knows that when they do something really functional, we are sure to see their attempts result in special things for the world of design .

EARTH DAY –   Geodesic aims to design their office building in a manner that supports a sense of Thai spirit and a connection with the modern world. This means the work has to suit the spatial context and the climate in a simple and straightforward way…

EMOTIONAL EFFECT –   Tim Kobe is the founder and CEO of Eight Inc., a branding and design company behind  projects in residential and commercial spaces, products and communications including the conceptualization of the  original Apple store in close collaboration with the late Steve Jobs.  art4d talked with him more after his impressive lecture at DSAT X.
