KING OF POP –   Jeff Koons is widely regarded as one of the most important, influential, popular and controversial artists of the post war era. Through his career, he has pioneered new approaches to the ready-made and tested the boundaries between advanced art and mass culture.

MAKE IT BLACK –   Chatpong Chuenrudeemol of CHAT architects has recently been working on his new project – the Nanda Heritage Hotel where the speeds of the old and modern world meet and mingle around the RAMA VII Bridge, a work that reportedly offered the architect himself many a valuable lesson as well.

DIPLOMATIC APPROACH –   Foreign Policy Design Group is a very successful Singapore-based design practice run by Yah-Leng Yu and Arthur Chin. We met up with both of them to talk about their works and policies.

E=MC2 –   The Swing exhibition by Jedsada Tangtrakulwong is a direct reference to the character of the TADU Contemporary Art Gallery’s location itself, as the gallery hall was modified from a part of an original parking space into the venue it is today. Energy, force, reaction and speed all became components of the exhibition concept while given new life as art materials and media.

MOTON CAPTURED –   VaSLab Architecture has designed various projects including houses, hotels, resorts, hospitals and showrooms with car showrooms in particular being considered the studio’s signature space. This time, Vasu Virajsilp and his team take on the Mercedes-Benz showroom and call upon an exciting and dynamic form to do so.

THE ART OF DYING –   This house will be the last dwelling for Arwut Ankawut and, according to his belief in the ‘Buddhist Death,’ he has prepared himself for the very last moment in life as well as the future – creating a space to be taken forth from to a better world.
