ORIENTAL LIVING CULTURE

JIA INC. STEPS UP IN AN AWARD-WINNING FASHION TO BRING ORIENTAL LIVING CULTURE TO THE TABLE THROUGH DESIGN

Jia Inc. is a Chinese culture based tableware design firm whose designs fall somewhere between both oriental and western designs and the old and the new. Founded in 2007 in Hong Kong, the studio exhibited “Siheyuan,” the Chinese house in 2008 at the popular MAISON & OBJET fair in Paris, bringing a showcasing of the oriental living culture to the eyes of a primarily western audience.

In 2010, Jia Inc. began distributing products to international markets within Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg, Israel and Iceland,  as well as expanding its reach within Asia throughout China, Japan  and South Korea. Jia Inc. then worked to set up a studio in Taipei City, opening a space comprised of both an office space and a showroom fit for exhibition of a number of significant products ranging from their “Four Seasons” glasses, which were recently awarded in the Golden Pin Design Awards and “Rolling Mortar,” designed by Spencer Hung, the director of the brand & creative division, which also brought Jia Inc. this year’s ‘Best of’ recognition at the Golden Pin Design Awards. From 2011-2016, Jia Inc. continued to participate in several major international design competitions and brought home multiple design awards including the 2011 and 2014 IF product design awards and the 2013 and 2014 Good Design Awards held in Japan.
