The Pavilion Vibhavadi-Phaholyothin is a new series of luxury villas developed around the concept of French Resonance. Inspired by French approaches to lifestyle and personal style, the concept explores how ‘understated luxury’ can be translated into architecture with a distinct architectural character.

Developed by SC, The Pavilion Vibhavadi-Phaholyothin begins with the principle that ‘less is more.’ Details drawn from French cities and their urban character are translated into tangible design elements, creating villas that feel open and refined. French Resonance is defined by four main principles: Culture of Elegance, Effortless Chic, Quality over Quantity, and Attitude and Confidence.

These four principles inform the design of the new villa series, with each residence occupying a 532-square-meter plot.

• Culture of Elegance: Genuine luxury lies in carefully considered taste and clearly defined standards. This idea is expressed through the generous main staircase and grand living area, which welcome residents and visitors upon entering the house. The sequence and proportions of these spaces establish a clear sense of rhythm throughout the interior.

• Effortless Chic: This principle describes an understated appearance shaped by a careful design process. The villa interiors therefore emphasize simplicity and refinement, with particular attention paid to detail.

• Quality over Quantity: Quality here extends beyond materials and construction to the way the interior spaces accommodate a range of different activities. Flexible areas provide more options for everyday use, while the villa’s timeless façade is designed to remain relevant beyond short-lived trends.

• Attitude and Confidence: A sense of confidence is conveyed through clearly defined architectural elements, including arches, the rhythm of the openings, and a straightforward arrangement of functions.

SC’s French Resonance concept encompasses both architectural ‘form’ and the urban ‘order’ associated with French cities. Drawing inspiration from Haussmannian architecture, the design emphasizes symmetry in its overall composition and in the façade ornamentation, which establishes the villa’s first impression. An organized sequence of openings and a clearly defined double-volume entrance further contribute to its clean and understated appearance.

The villa model is named LE TROPHÉE, or French for ‘the trophy.’ It comprises five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two housekeeper’s rooms, parking for five cars, and several flexible spaces for family activities and other uses. These spaces can be adapted into a shoe collection room, home office, or family lounge, depending on the residents’ needs. The plot also provides enough room for the future addition of a swimming pool and an outdoor guest pavilion. Privacy remains a key consideration, with only four villas in the development and security systems provided both within each residence and across the project. These features reflect the meaning behind the villa’s name: ‘a home that represents achievement and serves as a reward in life.’
