WHY
We are dedicated to fostering ‘happiness,’ which is the core mission of our work like planting seeds of joy during every stage of the creative process.
From our team and interns to our clients, this journey of happiness starts with the very first design concept and continues until our clients move into the homes we create. Every step is focused on designing spaces that are filled with happiness and embody the true meaning of life.
How do you define your own style of work?
‘A style without a style.’ At SaTa Na Architect, we do not adhere to a fixed design style because we believe that a designer’s role is to create in the best possible way.
We focus our work on the concept of ‘happiness,’ allowing our intuition to guide our designs. By incorporating the key elements of Architecture, Place, and Time, we ensure that each creation reflects beauty and meaning, ultimately fulfilling the needs of life.

What inspires you and what principles do you apply to each project?
Our work is inspired and guided by three core principles: Architecture, Place, and Time.
architecture: Architecture is the expression of beauty achieved through a careful and thoughtful design process.
place: A location that engages with its context and surrounding environment.
time: Time, activities, and people that shape and convey the unique meanings of architecture.

Which project are you most proud of and why?
The project we are most proud of is the SaTa Pun NA Residence, which serves as our home and office. This project reflects who we were at a specific point in our lives. Through its design, we aimed to express beauty through simplicity. The box-shaped structure carries symbolic meaning, encapsulating the ideas and beliefs we held at that time. This house is not just a place to live; it also serves as a testing ground and a space that tells the story of this phase in our lives.

Which part of the process do you enjoy the most during work?
The part we enjoy the most is receiving the design brief. Whenever we get a new brief, our hearts race, and countless ideas begin to swirl. It’s the moment when our imagination runs wild, and it becomes truly captivating.
This excitement is especially true for projects we’ve never tackled before or for design competitions. These challenges keep us actively engaged and constantly thinking about ideas. We are passionate about the process of exploration and shaping the narrative that each project will convey. It’s a thrilling experience that energizes us and adds a deeper meaning to the design process.

If you could invite any ‘creative’ for a coffee, who would it be and why?
Le Corbusier, the legendary architect and designer. I would like to take this opportunity to express how much his work has inspired me and countless architects around the world. His creations reflect profound intention and extraordinary creative energy, forever transforming the field of architecture.
Additionally, I would love to discuss his choice to live a simple life in his later years. Despite the grandeur of his achievements, he sought peace and balance in his lifestyle which is a valuable lesson I deeply wish to understand. I believe that having a conversation with Le Corbusier would be a moment filled with inspiration and meaning, one that would stay with me forever.
