Masaya NAKAHARA is well known as a noise musician named “Violent Onsen Geisha” or  “Hair Stylistics” both locally in Japan and abroad. He is also known as a novelist who won the Yukio Mishima Prize, Noma Literature Prize for New Writers, and the Bunkamura Deux Magots Prize as well as a film critic who writes for many different forms of media. In addition to these numerous activities, NAKAHARA also works as an artist who creates collages, drawings and paintings. This exhibition will showcase these different aspects of NAKAHARA’s multi-talented artistic practice and creative outlets via exhibition of paintings, drawings, collages, videos and sound pieces together in an ensemble of new works.
