หลังจากที่ TOSTEM ได้ทำการเปิดตัว Demo Room ไปที่จังหวัดภูเก็ตเมื่อปลายเดือนกรกฎาคมที่ผ่านมา ถึงคราวของจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ที่จะได้เปิดตัว ‘TOSTEM Demo Room’ เป็นสาขาล่าสุด ด้วยความที่เป็นหัวเมืองทั้งในแง่ของเศรษฐกิจ และการท่องเที่ยวเหมือนกัน จึงเป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่สถาปัตยกรรมนั้นจะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการตอบสนองความต้องการในพื้นที่ จึงเป็นหนึ่งในเหตุผลที่มาเปิดสาขาใหม่และขยายตลาดที่เชียงใหม่นี้
พิธีเปิดจัดขึ้นในช่วงปลายเดือนสิงหาคม โดยได้รับเกียรติจากสถาปนิกมากมายที่มาร่วมงานในวันนั้น โดย นายวิชา วรสายัณห์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไปของ TOSTEM ได้กล่าวถึงความสำคัญของการมาเปิด TOSTEM Demo Room ที่นี่ “เพราะเชียงใหม่เป็นเมืองใหญ่ หลังจากที่เราเริ่มที่จะเปิดตัวและจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ รวมถึงเปิด TOSTEM Demo Room ในหลายๆ พื้นที่ ทั้งกรุงเทพฯ และภูเก็ต เราจึงอยากทำให้ลูกค้าของเราที่นี่สามารถเข้าถึงผลิตภัณฑ์ และเข้ามาสัมผัสได้ง่ายขึ้น”
“ในมุมมองของวิชาชีพสถาปนิกในเชียงใหม่ รวมถึงทั้งภาคเหนือ หลายครั้งที่เราอยากเลือกใช้วัสดุแต่ว่าได้ดูแต่ในแคตตาล็อค ไม่ได้สัมผัสของจริง เช่นเดียวกันกับลูกค้าเองที่ก็ไม่มีโอกาสเห็นของจริง การเกิดขึ้นของ Demo Room ที่นี่จะทำให้เราสามารถเข้ามาเห็นของจริงได้โดยไม่ต้องเดินทางไปไหน’ นายอิศรา อารีรอบ ประธานกรรมาธิการสถาปนิกล้านนา ได้กล่าวถึงประโยชน์ที่เกิดขึ้นกับสถาปนิกในพื้นที่
TOSTEM Demo Room ตั้งอยู่ในโครงการ V Community มีพื้นที่ 96 ตารางเมตร โดยได้รับการออกแบบโดย ผศ.ดร.รัฐพงษ์ อังกสิทธิ์ ซึ่งได้ขึ้นมาเล่าถึงแนวความคิด และกระบวนการออกแบบที่ตั้งต้นจากแนวความคิด The Endless Possibilities เพื่อสร้างประสบการณ์ที่ดีที่สุดสำหรับลูกค้า “ข้อจำกัดด้านขนาดของพื้นที่ที่ไม่ได้ใหญ่มากนักกลับกลายมาเป็นข้อดี เพราะมันทำให้เรารู้สึกเหมือนอยู่ในบ้าน ทำให้คนที่เข้ามานั้นรู้สึกอบอุ่น และคุ้นเคยกับพื้นที่ที่ถูกสร้างขึ้นมา รวมถึงผลิตภัณฑ์ที่หลากหลายของ TOSTEM ที่ก็ถูกรวบรวมมาไว้ที่นี่ทั้งหมด ซึ่งเราตั้งโจทย์ว่าจะทำยังไงให้ลูกค้ามีประสบการณ์ร่วมกับผลิตภัณฑ์ของ TOSTEM ได้มากที่สุด”
ด้วยการวางผังการสัญจรในพื้นที่เพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ามาใช้งานในพื้นที่นั้นได้เห็นการใช้งานที่เกิดทั้งภายในบ้านและภายนอกบ้าน จึงเกิดเป็นผังพื้นที่ซิกแซกไปมา แต่ยังคงตั้งอยู่บนแนวตารางเดียวกันทั้งพื้นที่ ช่วยให้เกิดเส้นทางการเดิน และเชิญชวนให้คนมา มองเห็น สัมผัส และเรียนรู้ ผลิตภัณฑ์ในมุมมองต่างๆ นอกจากนี้ยังมีอีกแนวความคิดหนึ่งที่แอบซ่อนอยู่ภายในพื้นที่ คือ Global to Local เป็นการนำความเป็นพื้นถิ่น มาผสมผสานกับความร่วมสมัย การจัดวางรูปทรงต่างๆ วัสดุ (ไม้, อิฐ) และสีสัน ที่สอดแทรกเข้ามาในองค์ประกอบ เพื่อให้มีรายละเอียดที่น่าสนใจที่เกิดขึ้นเฉพาะ TOSTEM Demo Room ที่เชียงใหม่นี้
ผลิตภัณฑ์ทั้งหมดของ TOSTEM พัฒนาขึ้นมาภายใต้แนวความคิด “TOSTEM Total Housing Solutions” ที่เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์อะลูมิเนียมครบวงจรทั้ง ประตู หน้าต่าง ประตูหน้าบ้าน และผลิตภัณฑ์นอกตัวบ้าน ซึ่งใน Demo Room นี้ก็ได้นำมาแสดงเกือบทั้งหมด ตั้งแต่รุ่น WE series, GRANTS series, GIESTA series, P7 series ซึ่งตอบโจทย์ทั้งพื้นที่ ภายในอาคาร ภายนอกอาคาร รวมไปถึงอาคารขนาดสูง สามารถเข้าไปชมของจริงได้แล้ววันนี้ที่ TOSTEM Demo Room ทุกสาขา
หลังจากนี้ TOSTEM จะยังคงขยายพื้นที่ในการให้บริการออกไปกว้างขึ้น เพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดกับสถาปนิกและผู้ใช้งาน ซึ่งน่าสนใจว่ามาตรฐานในการก่อสร้างนั้นจะถูกปรับเปลี่ยนและพัฒนาไปในทิศทางใดในอนาคต เพราะหากสถาปัตยกรรมที่ดีนั้นเริ่มต้นด้วยวัสดุที่ดี มาตรฐานเหล่านี้จะปรับเปลี่ยนให้เมืองน่าอยู่ขึ้นอย่างแน่นอน

After launching Demo Room in Phuket in late July, it’s now time for the brand new ‘TOSTEM Demo Room’ in Chiang Mai. As the capital of the economy and tourism in the northern region of Thailand, architecture also plays an important part in fulfilling the local demand. For this reason, TOSTEM has landed its new Demo Room and made its way to the Chiang Mai market.
The opening ceremony took place in late August and was attended by many architects. “Because Chiang Mai is a big city and after launching TOSTEM Demo Room in prime locations like Bangkok and Phuket, we also want our customers in Chiang Mai to see and experience our product first hand,” said Mr. Wicha Worasayun, TOSTEM’s Country Manager.
“For architects in Chiang Mai and the northern region, every time when we are searching for materials, we can only select them from catalogues and this is the same case for customers, we have no chance to experience the actual product. This Demo Room allows us to see the actual product without moving around” Mr. Issara Areerob, Chairman of Northern Region (Lanna), The Association of Siamese Architects added referring to how this Demo Room benefits the architects in this zone.
TOSTEM Demo Room is located in V Community with the space of 96 square meters and is designed by Asst. Prof. Rattapong Angkasith, Ph.D. On this occasion, he also shared the design concept and process, namely ‘The Endless Possibilities’ for the best customer experience. “Constraint on small size of this Demo Room becomes an advantage because this minimal space provides a home-like, warm and friendly vibe from being surrounded by all ranges of TOSTEM products. Our design aims to provide the best product experience to our customers.”
Traffic in the Demo Room was designed for the visitor to see product’s operation from the inside and outside of the house, that’s why the floor is in a zigzag pattern but the entire Demo Room is situated on the same grid. This zigzag pattern forms a walkway and draws the visitor to touch and get to know the product better. In the design, I also hid the concept of “Global to Local” by presenting the local culture combined with the contemporary, by the arrangement of materials in different shapes (wood, brick) and playing with colors to create unique details exclusively for TOSTEM’s Demo Room in Chiang Mai.
All TOSTEM products were developed under the ‘TOSTEM Total Housing Solutions’ concept for all ranges of aluminum products such as doors, windows, entrance doors, and exterior products which can all be found in this Demo Room. Including all series from WE series, GRANTS series, GIESTA series to P7 series which can respond to the needs of indoor, outdoor and high-rise projects, be sure to experience all the products now in TOSTEM’s Demo Room.
TOSTEM will continuously expand its business to serve architects and the end-user’s demand. This determination is very interesting as it will affect how construction standards will be changed and developed in the future because if architecture is created from the fine material’s design, this new standard will transform the city into a better living place.
