AN EXHIBITION BY NARISSARA PIANWIMUNGSA
NOVA CONTEMPORARY, BANGKOK
MARCH 30 – MAY 31
Even though we live in a high tech world with vast amounts of information at our fingertips, we are still searching for answers to the age old questions; “what’s the meaning of life?” and “why do we feel lonely?”. When I look at people I can sometimes see their unhappiness emanating from within, which relates directly to my own feelings. It’s apparent that we have a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, only patched up. These feelings are both abstract and personal, so I use the animal form to represent these feelings because they have a close relationship to us, they link to our subconscious and I use embroidery to heal and remind people of feelings they may have forgotten.
