AN EXHIBITION BY ANGKI PURBANDONO
APRIL 29 – JULY 26, 2017
BANGKOK UNIVERSITY GALLERY
Grey Area features a series of works by Angki Purbandono, an Indonesian photographer/artist, created during the time of his incarceration. Throughout the period of 1 year and 3 months between 2012 and 2013, life led under prison’s rules and regulations forced the artist to come up with other artistic methods such as the use of a scanner to create images or unusual collaborations carried out with the wardens and some of his inmates. It’s an entirely different world waiting to be seen.
