Remains to Be Seen: 3 x 5 exhibits fifteen images by three emerging Thai photographers. Representing a remarkable diversity of style and originality of vision, Kanrapee Chokpaiboon, Pratya Jankong, and Tatchpasit Kunaporn are pushing the boundaries of photographic medium at a time when cliched imagery is ubiquitous.
Kanrapee Chokpaiboon’s surreal street photography is informed by the aesthetic of classic science fiction films and a fascination with vexing existential questions.
Mesmerizing macro collages by Pratya Jankong challenge contemporary obsession with appearances by capturing beauty on its most basic – cellular – level.
Tachpasit Kunaporn’s project “Hidden Space” explores the gray space that arises during black and white processing as a metaphor for impermeability of fantasy and reality.
