The Marketing Development Manager of HP Large Format Design, Panadda Makorntat, talks about some new and interesting information about the marketing direction of HP’s current printer technologies and how they have evolved. “HP has placed a high priority on research and development. It explains our Barcelona campus in Spain, which is one of the world’s largest 3D printing and digital manufacturing research and development facilities. There, research and surveys on user demands and behaviors have been conducted, and the resulting data has been utilized in the design and development of our own printers, allowing them to provide even more comprehensive functions to the advantage of our clients, particularly those in the AEC, or Architect, Engineering and Construction, which is one of our most important markets. We’ve worked hard to make functionality more extensive, creating printers that are easier to use and move around, smaller, and functional even in limited spaces. The advancements also include the capacity of a printer to print individual sheets of paper, big-size roll paper, and with built-in scanning features. Because HP recognizes that printing quality is one of the most important aspects of design, we have been steadfast in our research and development efforts to create printers that can deliver all lines and details in the finest quality possible.”

In addition to an efficient work process, HP also stresses its products’ environmental awareness. Such an intention is evidenced by the use of recycled plastic bottles and hangers as the materials of HP printers’ ink cartridges and frames, for the exceptional durability and functional efficiency they offer. Some of HP printers’ ink containers are made of paper instead of plastic, allowing for instant reuse without the need to go through any industrial processes.

“The greatest success of this endeavor is that HP is able to recycle millions, if not billions, of units of waste, which contributes to a massive decrease in the amount of waste being produced in our environments, whether on land or in the ocean,” Panadda said regarding the ink cartridge recycling campaign. What’s also inspiring about the project is how it functions as a jigsaw puzzle that allows people to become a part of an effort to make the world a better place by promoting sustainability, where you can buy an original HP ink cartridge or send the used ones back to us so that the cartridges can be recycled, and you’re directly a part of this movement.”
