Saigon Artbook (SGAB) is an independent publisher of contemporary art books supporting and showcasing emerging local artists in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam since 2013.
SGAB is a non-profit organization created in support of emerging artists and with a mission to engage young people with local art. There are few opportunities for arts funding in Vietnam, and little value placed on contemporary art. Artists often struggle to find art spaces and galleries where they are able to exhibit.
The current crowdfunding campaign will make the publication of SGAB Edition 6 in June 2016 possible, as well as the realization of over a year’s work for five Saigon-based artists, the project curator and a small team of volunteers.
