The workshop will bring you to take a closer look into Taobao Village in Shaji town of China’s Jiangsu province, the first rural and agricultural village with an online shop in Taobao.com, China’s biggest E-Commerce site. The workshop will study the Taobao lesson through design and discussion about the ecosystem of Shaji, from the obstacles of rural developments and its current status as a model city, all the way to the rising competitiveness between emerging online entrepreneurs and many more interesting issues with people from various fields of study and profession. ล่าสุด Damien Hirst ศิลปินชาวสหราชอาณาจักรที่รวยที่สุดในโลก มีโปรเจ็คต์ออกแบบห้องพักของ Palms คาสิโนรีสอร์ทในลาสเวกัส ที่มีสนนราคาเข้าพักแพงที่สุดในโลกนั่นคือ 100,000 เหรียญสหรัฐ ต่อคืน
ครั้งนี้ Hirst ร่วมงานกับ Bentel & Bentel Architects และ Klai Juba Wald Architects ตกแต่งห้อง Empathy Suite เนื้อที่ 836 ตารางเมตร กินพื้นที่ 2 ชั้นของโรงแรม โดยนอกจากในห้องพักนี้จะมีงานศิลปะของ Hirst ถึง 6 ชิ้นแล้ว แทบทุกพื้นที่ของห้อง (รวมถึงเฟอร์นิเจอร์) ยังเต็มไปด้วยการประดับตกแต่ง ที่ดึง element มาจากผลงานศิลปะของ Hirst นั่นคือ ยา กระดูก และผี้เสื้อ โดยมีฉลามในตู้แช่ฟอร์มาลีน Winner/Loser, 2018 เป็นเหมือนพระเอกของห้อง การปรับปรุงห้องครั้งนี้ เป็นแผนการกระตุ้นยอดเข้าพักของสองพี่น้อง Lorenzo และ Frank Fertitta เจ้าของธุรกิจคาสิโนชื่อดังอย่าง Red Rock Resorts Inc., ที่เพิ่งเข้ามาควบคุมกิจการ Palms เมื่อปี 2016 พวกเขามองว่าศิลปะน่าจะเป็นตัวเลือกที่ถูกต้อง ในการเจาะกลุ่มลูกค้าคนรุ่นใหม่ เพราะด้วยเสน่ห์บางอย่างและความซับซ้อนของศิลปะ จะช่วยกระตุ้นความคิดของคน และอีกอย่างคือ ไหนๆ พวกเขาก็สะสมงานของ Hirst อยู่แล้ว
British and the world’s richest artist, Damien Hirst, is back with a new project. Hirst designs a room in Palms, a casino resort in Las Vegas, with the staggering rate of USD 100,000 per night, currently reigning the most expensive hotel room in the world.
Hirst works together with Bentel & Bentel Architects and Klai Juba Wald Architects for the decoration of Empathy Suite whose 836 square meter space takes up the entire two floors of the hotel. In addition to 6 of Hirst’s art pieces, almost everything about the room, including the furniture, is brimmed with the artistic elements his works are known of: medicine, bones and butterflies with the shark in the formalin tank of his ‘Winner/Loser, 2018’ taking the center stage. The project follows the plan of two casino brother moguls, Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, the owner of Red Rock Resorts Inc., to boost the room sales after their takeover of Palms in 2016. The Fertittas’ decision to use art to attract younger clientele derives from the complexity, appeal and thought stimulating ability art holds. Not to mention that fact that they’re already keen collectors of Hirst’s works.

นิทรรศการเนื่องในโอกาสที่ Nikken Sekkei บริษัทออกแบบอาคารสัญชาติญี่ปุ่นได้ขยายสาขามายังประเทศไทย ภายในงานจะจัดแสดงโปรเจ็คต์งานออกแบบจำนวนหนึ่ง รวมไปถึงโปรเจ็คต์รีโนเวต Camp Nou สนามฟุตบอลรังเหย้าของสโมสร FC Barcelona ที่ได้รับฉายาว่า “ชามอ่างยักษ์” ซึ่งคาดว่าจะแล้วเสร็จภายในปี 2023

Held to celebrate a special occasion of welcoming the first branch of Nikken Sekkei, Japanese design firm, in Thailand, the exhibition showcases a number of the firm’s design projects including the renovation of Camp Nou, the football stadium that is home stadium of FC Barcelona, which is expected to finish within 2023.
Nikken Sekkei is a Japanese architectural deign company founded in 1900. With over 100 years of experiences working in the field with over 25,000 projects in 50 countries around the world, Nikken Sekkei has risen to the status of one of the world’s leading design companies. With 12 branches in countries around the world in Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, including Southeast Asia, it’s particularly exciting for the local architectural community to welcome the arrival of Nikken Sekkei’s latest branch in Thailand. It remains to be seen what their future projects are going to be , but in the meantime…

KHON RAK NA MA/HA/NAKORN
โครงการศิลปะจากงานวิจัยเชิงสร้างสรรค์โดย วิจิตร อภิชาติเกรียงไกร ที่เกิดขึ้นจากความร่วมมือระหว่างวิจิตรกับกลุ่มเพื่อน ในนามกลุ่มโรงนานิเวศน์สุนทรีย์ ที่นำองค์ความรู้ /ความเข้าใจในศิลปะมาสังเคราะห์ให้เกิดเป็นงานวิจัยที่จับต้องได้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการดำเนินชีวิตในชุมชนวัฒนธรรมการทำนาข้าว และบทสรุปของงานวิจัยภายใต้คำจำกัดความว่า “นิเวศน์สุนทรีย์”
นอกจากนี้ ยังมีกิจกรรมร่วมวง “สุนทรียสนทนา” ในหลายประเด็นหลากมุมมอง กับแขกรับเชิญที่ทำงานด้านธรรมชาติสาขาต่างๆ อาทิ สาธารณะศิลป์ การกิน, เป็น, อยู่ แบบไทยธรรมดา การมีส่วนร่วมในการสร้างสังคมสร้างเมือง การอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม การเกษตรปลอดภัย และ Artful Living ที่จะมาร่วมแบ่งปันประสบการณ์กันอย่างคับคั่ง

An art project from a creative research initiative, Rongnaniwetsoontri, by Wichit Aphichatkrieangkrai is conceived from a collaboration between Wichit and a group of friends. The group works to synthesize artistic body of knowledge/understanding into tangible research works. The work revolves around the way of living in the culture of farming, with the conclusion that defines ‘aesthetic ecology’.
Also featured are also the ‘aesthetic talk’ activities with discussions that encompass several issues and perspectives with invited speakers from different fields of natural studies such as public art to Thai consumption and living. The participation formation and development a better society for the sustainable development of the society involves the aspect of environmental preservation, organic agriculture and artful living with many interesting experiences that will be shared.
