การแข่งขันประกวดแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรม Europan ครั้งที่ 15 กำลังเปิดรับสมัครทีมนักออกแบบสถาปัตยกรรมและเมือง (สถาปนิก นักวางผังเมือง ภูมิสถาปนิก วิศวกร ฯลฯ) รุ่นใหม่อายุไม่เกิน 40 ปี การแข่งขันในปีนี้มาพร้อมกับโจทย์ ‘Productive Cities’ ซึ่งต่อเนื่องมาจากปีที่แล้ว โดยมุ่งเน้นไปที่การออกแบบที่ตอบรับกับปัญหาของการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางระบบนิเวศ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ของเมืองที่มีประสิทธิภาพสำหรับอนาคต ครอบคลุมสามประเด็นหลัก ได้แก่ Resources (การจัดการทรัพยากร) Mobility (ความเคลื่อนไหวของเมือง) Equity (ความเสมอภาคทางพื้นที่และสังคม) น่าสนใจว่าหัวข้อของการประกวดแบบในปีนี้ อาจช่วยสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงแนวโน้มของเทรนด์การออกแบบที่จะเกิดขึ้นต่อไปในอนาคตอันใกล้ได้ไม่มากก็น้อย โครงการจะเปิดรับสมัครจนถึงวันที่ 28 กรกฎาคมนี้ ติดตามรายะเอียดเพิ่มและสมัครได้ทาง bit.ly/2IriuIp
The architectural design competition, Europan 15, is calling for registration from architectural and urban design teams of young architects, urban planners, landscape architects, engineers, etc. (age under 40 years old). The topic of Europan 15 session is a continuum of the Europan 14’s ‘Productive Cities’, which focuses on the issue of ecological transition related to a vision of the productive city for the future and encompasses 3 principle issues; Resources, Mobility and Equity. It’s interesting to see how much this year’s topic will reflect the future design trends. The project is open for registrations until 28th July 2019. ArtAsiaPacific magazine’s Young Writers Contest is welcoming young writers from around the world submit an 800-word essay on either A) Memes as Political Art; or B) Art and the Environment. The work must discuss at least three artworks and should be contextualized within ArtAsiaPacific’s region of coverage: Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East. The winning work will be published in ArtAsiaPacific and the winner will have the chance to work closely with one of the magazine’s editors. Submit article now until 1st July 2019. นิทรรศการสัญจร “ออกแบบ แบบญี่ปุ่น” นำโปรดักต์ดีไซน์ญี่ปุ่นที่ได้รับคัดเลือกว่าดีที่สุดจำนวน 100 ชิ้น มาจัดแสดง ผลิตภัณฑ์บางชิ้นเป็นดีไซน์ที่หลงเหลือมาจากช่วงระยะเวลาหลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 ซึ่งเกิดขึ้นจากการนำความคิดสร้างสรรค์มาเป็นเครื่องมือในการพัฒนาธุรกิจและยกคุณภาพชีวิต และส่งอิทธิพลที่สำคัญต่อการออกแบบในญี่ปุ่นจนถึงปัจจุบัน ความน่าสนใจของนิทรรศการคือเพราะอะไร “ทุนวัฒนธรรม” หรือจารีตและภูมิปัญญาจากคนญี่ปุ่นรุ่นก่อนที่ถูกนำมาใช้กับงานออกแบบ จึงส่งผลให้ผลิตภัณฑ์จากญี่ปุ่นได้รับความนิยมไปทั่วโลก หรือเป็นเพราะว่างานออกแบบเหล่านี้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความเข้าใจวิถีชีวิตของผู้ใช้งานอย่างแท้จริง? นิทรรศการจัดแสดงระหว่างวันที่ 24 เมษายน – 26 พฤษภาคม 2562 ที่ TCDC กรุงเทพฯ ติดตามรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมได้ทาง bit.ly/2GodvET
The travelling exhibition ‘Japanese Design Today 100’ features 100 best works of Japanese product design. Some of the works were created back in the post WWII as the results of the Japanese’s utilization of creativity as a tool to revive their businesses and elevate quality of life, the attempt, which has significantly influenced the country’s design ethos to this day. Through these 100 works, the exhibition looks into why and how the ‘cultural capital’ or the wisdoms and traditions evolved through generations of Japanese people integrated in the works have become an important influence on the global popularity of the country’s design products, and whether the universality of Japanese product design is derived from its ability to truly understand and resonate with the users’ way of life.
