The contemporary home is no longer defined simply as a place of shelter. It has become a space that reflects a more sustainable way of living across multiple layers, from the quality of everyday life to the energy technologies that support it. These systems must respond not only to performance and safety, but also to the question of how seamlessly they can coexist with architecture. This thinking lies at the heart of Huawei LUNA S1, a residential energy storage battery designed to store solar power generated during the day for continuous use at night.

Huawei LUNA S1 has been designed to blend naturally into the modern home, with an approach that gives equal weight to aesthetics, function, and finely crafted detail. Inspired by stars and the surroundings halo phenomenon, its Dynamic Star Ring expresses a balance between technology and nature, accompanied by a soft lighting effect that brings a calm atmosphere into the living environment. Its minimal form allows the unit to integrate easily with a wide range of interior styles, turning technology into a considered part of the home’s design language.

Behind this understated design is a system developed to enhance the efficiency of home energy management. Huawei LUNA S1 is equipped with energy storage technology informed by the analysis of residential energy-use patterns, together with High Voltage technology that enables a Depth of Discharge (DOD) of up to 100 percent of its capacity. This differs from conventional batteries, which generally allow only around 70 to 80 percent of their capacity to be used, depending on household energy consumption patterns. Homeowners can therefore make fuller, more stable, and more continuous use of stored energy, supporting daily life with greater efficiency and flexibility.

The battery system is designed around a Plug and Play concept, aligned with the idea of Flexible Living, to reduce the complexity of installation. Users can expand the system according to the needs of each household, with support for future expansion of up to four towers when paired with a compatible inverter. Each tower can support charging and discharging power of up to 10.5 kW, with an average service life of approximately 15 years.

Safety is another key priority for Huawei LUNA S1. The battery has been designed with comprehensive protection across five layers, beginning at the cell level, where high-quality LFP battery cells are selected for their low fire risk. An advanced BMS helps detect and prevent electrical irregularities in real time, while the exterior structure is designed to withstand an impact of up to five tons and has passed IP66 standards for water and dust resistance (the product is not designed for underwater use and should be kept away from direct water exposure). It is also equipped with two layers of emergency protection, including an active pressure release technology and an intelligent fire suppression kit, further enhancing safety during operation.

Huawei LUNA S1 has also received certification tested from TÜV Rheinland, while the energy system performance can be conveniently monitored through the FusionSolar application. Together, these features make home energy management simpler and more reassuring, positioning Huawei LUNA S1 as a vision for the future of living, one that brings beauty, technology, and sustainability into careful equilibrium.
