Femme Atelier is a design studio founded in 2018 by Kamonwan Mungnatee and Lalita Kitchachanchaikul. This project is part of a furniture design course of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL). This multidisciplinary team has also illustrated the values of my work under the emotive principle design.

Furniture design. The conceptions of Femme are about the experiment and redefine everyday objects in our life.

WHAT PROJECT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
Framemust aimed to provide ‘the door language’, the function of the door is the barriers between one area to another area. Therefore it was transmitted through the furniture form which comprises of two tables, two chairs by producing the manufacturing of door as well as a window through the existence of furniture. The significant of the door and window manufacturing is the aluminum profile extrude which outstandingly described in the design dimension. In addition, it was kept in original function which included the gradient acrylic that is representing the prominence of the door in communication value as well as it is easier to produce. Moreover, the purpose is to add more value through the material, also to modify the function through the existence of new material inappropriately.

IF YOU COULD INVITE ANY CREATIVE OUT FOR COFFEE, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
If we have a chance to invite o-d-a, a couple of Thai designers for coffee exchange ideas. We completely respect their ideas thoughts and their work. We want to discuss perspective life to get inspiration more with o-d-a.
