AN EXHIBITION BY ERWIN WURM
BANGKOK ART AND CULTURE CENTRE
NOV 26, 2026 – FEB 26, 2017
With the current political and social climate, the stage of transition we find ourselvs in links together not only what is going on around the SEA region but also other parts of the world where contemporaneity is constituted with a shift of systematic thoughts at present. Whether it be a neoconservative uprising or a progressive evolution, the context and opportunity for this exhibition to expand beyond existing boundaries to reassess current issues at hand in their contemporaneous entirety is welcomed. With keywords such as humor, superiority, irony, mass and contradiction we are encouraged to entertain new thoughts in regards to self and our relation to society. Through the sculptural works of the world famous artist, Erwin Wurm, various depths of philosophy with a sense of the subliminal place the audience at the central core as we explore a light and humorous yet critical state of self.
