JOIN THE ARCHITECT’26 DESIGN COMPETITION UNDER THE THEME ‘HYBRIDIZED WISDOMS: ARCHITECTURE ACROSS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES’

The Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage invites designers to participate in the ‘Future Nostalgia in Architecture’ design competition, which draws inspiration from past architectural forms while integrating modern innovation and technology. Highlighting aesthetics and meaningful connections to culture, society, and the natural world in both present and future contexts.The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) announced the ASA Experimental Competition 2026. This initiative opens a call for design entries to be showcased at the ‘Architect’69’ exhibition, offering total prizes of over 280,000 THB. This event invites professionals, amateurs, students, and the general public to submit creative proposals under the theme ‘Hybridized Wisdoms: Architecture Across Multiple Intelligences,’ which seeks to explore the evolving relationship between humans and ‘non-human intelligences,’ ranging from ecological processes and climate systems to computational models and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
All submissions will be considered by a jury panel comprising five distinguished Thai and international architects and experts. The jury members include Chatpong Chuenrudeemol (CHAT Architects), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surapong Lertsittichai (IDYLLIAS Co., Ltd.), Luca Bussolino (CRA Carlo Ratti Associati), Cecilia MoSze Tham (Futurity Systems), and Miho Mazereeuw (Urban Risk Lab and Associate Professor, School of Architecture and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
Competition Details
- Categories: 1. Student | 2. General Public (No restrictions on age or nationality)
- Prizes: General Public: Up to 100,000 THB | Student: Up to 50,000 THB
- Judging Criteria: Creativity (40%), Relevance and Interpretation of the Brief (30%), and Clarity of Communication (30%).
Terms and Conditions
For this competition, the Association does not restrict the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or other non-human tools in the creative process. However, submitted entries must clearly specify the role, scope, and level of influence of each tool utilized. It is essential to explain the Human Contribution, demonstrating explicitly how human decision-making, skills, and wisdom remain integral to the work.
Furthermore, all submissions must be original works that have never been previously published, and they must not be built works or completed projects. Participants must hold full legal and intellectual property rights for all submitted materials. Any project containing materials or components not owned by the participant will be disqualified. If any copyright infringement is discovered later, the awarded prize will be revoked immediately.
