WHO
IN10 INTERIOR DESIGN is an interior design studio founded by Suwapat Suriyayot. The studio was born from a desire to bring something new to Chiang Mai’s interior design scene, the founder’s hometown. We began with small steps as a newcomer in the field, and everything we do has grown from a daily commitment to purpose and intensity as we continue to prove ourselves through our work.
WHAT
We see interior design as the design of experiences and the journey of use. Every beautiful element should carry meaning and function within itself. Each home has its own story, custom-designed to genuinely reflect the identity of the people who inhabit it.

WHEN
The studio was officially founded in 2024, after years of experience working independently on projects of various scales and types. Establishing IN10 INTERIOR DESIGN was a step toward creating a more systematic way of working and supporting the growth of the team.

Our studio is based in Chiang Mai, but we provide design services for projects across Thailand.

WHY
We believe a good space should tell the story of the people who live in it, while improving the quality of everyday life. We are also committed to elevating interior design in Chiang Mai, a city where we see tremendous design potential, particularly in residential projects, which are our area of expertise.

How do you define your own style of work?
We define our style as modern contemporary, adaptable to the context of each project. We place importance on the interplay between design, function, and the identity of the owner, creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but also distinctive and capable of telling a story.
For us, no project is ever a repetition. Each one is a new composition: simple, approachable, yet rich in thoughtful details, with a signature quality that gives every project its own distinct character.

What inspires you and what principles do you apply to each project?
Our inspiration begins with problems. The more challenges or site-specific constraints we encounter, the more opportunities they open up for spatial design.

Which project are you most proud of and why?
Ziri Spa, Warorot Branch, is one of the projects we are most proud of. It was a renovation project that completely transformed the image of an old building. Despite the tight timeline, the design was rich in detail, ideas, and a carefully considered spatial solutions. It was also one of the rare occasions when the owner loved the first draft so much that the design was approved from the very first proposal. For us, that was a rare and memorable moment, and it remains one of the projects we’re really proudest of.

Which part of the process do you enjoy the most during work?
We enjoy the schematic design stage the most, because it is where the initial ideas begin to take shape. What makes this stage exciting is that we are constantly encountering new and unexpected briefs. The style, mood, concept, site information, and various requirements often arrive from different directions, sometimes even contradicting one another. The question of how all these elements can be brought together, distilled, and transformed into a coherent design vision is what keeps the process so engaging.

If you could invite any ‘creative’ for a coffee, who would it be and why?
We would choose Keiji Ashizawa, because his work is simple but profound. He uses materials and light to create atmosphere with remarkable strength, and we would love to understand the way he transforms an ordinary space into something calm, restrained, and memorable.
