WHO

Sepstudio is an interior design studio founded by Sep. At its core, the studio is driven by the belief that a well-designed space should reflect the personality and emotional needs of the people who live or work in it.

WHAT

We focus on interior design across a variety of project types – from private residences and restaurants to commercial and cultural spaces. Our approach combines thoughtful craftsmanship with practical  functionality, and our designs aim to be both contemporary and emotionally resonant.

WHEN

Sepstudio was established in 2018.

WHERE

We are based in Bangkok, Thailand.

WHY

Because we believe that design is a tool to enhance quality of life – every aspect of a space should support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of its users.

How do you define your own style of work?

We describe our style as ‘Crafted Modernism’ – a contemporary aesthetic refined through a deep understanding of materials, craftsmanship, and proportion. Our work often features warm tones and natural materials such as wood, stone, and textiles, paired with open, airy structures and clean lines to create spaces that feel calm but not completely silent.

What inspires you and what principles do you apply to each project?

We’re inspired by the quiet rhythms of everyday life – and by the subtle, evolving relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit.

Which project are you most proud of and why?

One of the projects we’re most proud of is a private residence in Bangkok, completed in 2025. With a compact site and differing needs of each family member, the challenge was to create spaces that felt connected while still serving individual functions. We focused on making each area work well in everyday life – not just in terms of layout, but also in how it feels to live in. Locally sourced materials and handcrafted elements played a big role in bringing warmth and depth to the space, striking a balance between beauty, emotion, comfort, and usability.

Which part of the process do you enjoy the most during work?

My favorite stage is design development – especially the phase where we refine the spatial layout to strike the right balance between functionality and aesthetics.

If you could invite any ‘creative’ for a coffee, who would it be and why?

Le Corbusier – because his work continues to influence how we perceive space, form, and function. A conversation with him would offer valuable insights into designing for the future by questioning the constraints of the present.
