PHOTO ESSAY : A PLACE AFTER SOMEONE HAS LEFT

TEXT & PHOTO: CHANASORN WEDCHASIT

(For Thai, press here)

This series began with walking and observing my everyday surroundings, particularly places and details that might be overlooked in daily life. Each carries some trace of use or change, even when no one is there.

When these images are placed in sequence, the meaning of each one begins to shift. Photographs that may initially seem unrelated gradually reveal certain connections between them—places, objects, nature, and the traces of people who are no longer there.

For me, photography is a way of pausing to look more closely at my surroundings, and of preserving moments that might otherwise pass without anyone noticing.
