ทั้งนี้ หลักจากที่ได้จัดกิจกรรม Thai Film Screening in Berlin ครั้งแรกไปแล้วเมื่อวันที่ 24 กรกฎาคม ที่ผ่านมา กลางเดือนสิงหาคมนี้ un.thai.tled กำลังจะมีงานใหญ่เป็นครั้งแรกนั่
un.thai.tled is a collective of Thai creatives in Berlin who was born out of the desire to create a platform for disillusioning the misconceptions that the western world has with Thai culture through the multidisciplinary approaches as wells as the creative practices such as design, art, and film.
After their first Thai Film Screening in Berlin held on 24 July, un.thai.tled is coming back with their big event this mid-August known as ‘Thai Evening in Berlin 2019.’ Highlights include talks, workshops, live music, and exhibition which will feature works of Thai designers and artists who are based in Germany. For those who plan to visit Berlin next week, don’t forget to save the date for the Thai Evening in Berlin which will be held on this coming 17 August at Schalet, a creative space in Neukölln. KAENG KRACHAN LIBRARY
ท่ามกลางธรรมชาติในอำเภอแก่งกระจาน จังหวัดเพชรบุรี ที่รายล้อมไปด้วยป่าไม้และพืชสวนนานาพันธุ์ ‘Kaeng Krachan Library’ โดย Junsekino Architect and Design นั้นเกิดขึ้นจากความประสงค์ของเจ้าของโครงการ ที่ต้องการสร้างห้องสมุดสาธารณะสำหรับชุมชนและเหล่านักท่องเที่ยว เพื่อให้เป็นพื้นที่ในการอ่านหนังสือและพื้นที่กลางที่ทุกคนสามารถมาร่วมพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้กันได้ อ่านได้ ที่นี่
Standing in the middle of Phetchaburi province’s Kaeng Krachan district’s rich natural surrounding of forest and flora is ‘Kaeng Krachan Library’ that has Junsekino Architect and Design overseeing the architectural design. Initiated from the owner’s wish to build a public library for members of local community and tourists, the library is expected to serve as both a reading and communal space where conversations take place and knowledge is shared. Sher Maker สตูดิโอออกแบบขนาดเล็กที่ทำงานอยู่ในจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยมี ธงชัย จันทร์สมัคร และพัชรดา อินแปลง เป็นหัวเรือใหญ่ คาแร็คเตอร์การทำงานของสตูดิโอแห่งนี้ คือการทำงานกับบริบทท้องถิ่น ตั้งแต่เทคนิคการก่อสร้าง วัสดุ ไปจนถึงการทำงานกับช่างท้องถิ่น (สล่า) อ่านได้ ที่นี่
Sher Maker is a small team of architect, maker, and builder based in Chiang Mai, with Thongchai Chansamak and Patcharada Inplang as the studio’s principles. What we find very interesting about this studio is how they usually work with the local context ranging from construction techniques, materials to the local craftsman (Sala). Read here.
BUBBLING WITH JOY
ใครที่ผ่านไปบริเวณลานกลางแจ้งของ Parc Paragon ระหว่าง 1-7 สิงหาคมที่ผ่านมา คงเอะใจอยู่ไม่น้อยว่า ใครเป็นคนทำพาวิลเลียนของ AP WORLD งานนี้เป็นผลงานออกแบบของ Tetsuo Kondo สถาปนิกชาวญี่ปุ่นที่เป็นที่รู้จักกันอย่างดีในวงกว้างจากผลงาน Cloudscapes ในงานเวนิสเบียนนาเล่สถาปัตยกรรมปี 2010 มาปีนี้ คนโดะและ Transsolar บริษัทที่ปรึกษาด้านเทคโนโลยีพลังงานในอาคารจากเมืองสตุทการ์ทมาพร้อมกับการตีความโจทย์ว่า “สถาปัตยกรรมจะสามารถเชื่อมโยงเข้าหาคนได้อย่างไร” อ่านได้ ที่นี่
Passing through a transparent pavilion at Parc Paragon between 1-7 August, one may wonder about who made the Pavilion of AP WORLD? It is the work of the well-known Japanese architect Tetsuo Kondo, widely appreciated for his work “Cloudscapes” in the Venice Biennale Architecture 2010. This year, Kondo, in collaboration with Transsolar, a technical consulting company for energy efficiency and comfort in the built environment from Stuttgart, came with the same attitude but a slightly different method. The initial question was “how can architecture connect to people?” then he incorporated his interpretation into the design program together with the philosophy of living. Read here.

Non-Brand (非品牌) เป็นนิทรรศการย่อยภายใต้ร่มใหญ่ของนิทรรศการ Artistic License: Six takes on the Guggenheim Collection ที่ Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum นิวยอร์ก คิวเรตโดยศิลปินชาวจีน Cai Guo-Qiang นิทรรศการนี้ได้เปิดให้กับผู้ที่ชื่นชอบไปดูผลงานตามพิพิธภัณฑ์ได้มีโอกาสชมงานศิลปะอย่าง “เป็นอิสระ” โดยไม่ยึดอยู่กับคำอธิบายจากป้ายแคปชั่น อ่านได้ ที่นี่
As a part of ‘Artistic License: Six Takes on the Guggenheim Collection,’ the first artist-curated exhibition at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, ‘Non-Brand (非品牌)’ curated by Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang provides museumgoers a chance to perceive the arts without any distraction from words. Read here.
