Silp Architects co.,ltd. is design studio. Established by Sasicholwaree Sawatdisawanee who graduated Bachelor of Architecture Chulalongkorn University. She has been experienced in house, residential, restaurant, hospitality, commercial, and installation design projects in Thailand and oversea countries for over 10 years.
WHAT
We are practicing architecture, planning, interior, installation design, and other related to design disciplines regarding project requirements.

Silp was born in 2016.

Based in Bangkok, Thailand.
WHY
We focus on practicality, context, research, and requirements to create new fresh Ideas. Our each project has been created by different processes and inspired by variety ways, purpose to get the design has their own spirit.

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE CREATIVITY?
We believe that creativity is freedom to be created by a lot of coordination. There’s always some contradiction in creativity to be a good design combination.

WHERE DO YOU GO, OR WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU GET STUCK ON A PROJECT?
For beginning of the design process, I normally spend more times to perceive the emptiness of the project. Nothingness always originates new fresh ideas. I also taking a break of discussion between myself and team member, and try not to see other relevant ideas before we get spark with an idea. Site visiting is helpful. The existing and context always inspired me some interesting ideas and finally having a chat with participant or sketching is always clarified the pictures and made them more real.
WHAT PROJECT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
We are actually proud of all our designed projects. They have their own character, fit to the place in right time. The most important is the project also inspired us back and we would feel as a part of them.
But to choose one It would be Est62. The building envelope could be reflected to the context in innovative ways. The design leaded to the activity, lifestyle, and working environment. With coordination between architect, engineering, and marketing teams, we can find a lot of simple materials and structure in other different ways (additional roof, staircase, and façade…)
IF YOU COULD INVITE ANY CREATIVE OUT FOR COFFEE, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
Coffee always drives the good atmosphere. Whoever is having a chat while coffee that would be fun.
