A multitude of brands gathered to exhibit at Architect’25, each vying for the attention of designers with new innovations and products that continue to evolve alongside advancing technology. Among them was Blum, the Austrian manufacturer of world-class furniture fittings, which seized the opportunity to spotlight what it calls the ‘small but significant’ components of design.
Recognizing their role as subtle yet essential elements within architectural and interior projects, Blum, through its exclusive distributor in Thailand, Blue International, chose to present itself in a uniquely understated manner. Rather than setting up a standalone booth, Blum integrated into familiar spaces across the expo, embedding itself within the displays of well-known brands such as Podium, Hooth, Gio, and several others. This quiet integration was deliberate. After all, the true value of a hinge is only revealed when it is part of a cabinet – where visitors can physically engage with it, open and close it, and experience its precision firsthand.
Blum’s product offerings include cabinet hinge systems, lift systems, box systems (drawer components), and runner systems. At the Podium booth, featuring both a kitchen zone and a wardrobe display, Blum took the opportunity to showcase its AVENTOS HF, a bi-fold lift system designed specifically for tall or high-mounted wall cabinets.

The system divides the cabinet front into two folding sections, making it easier to reach upper storage spaces. Designers are given full flexibility to specify materials and proportions for the cabinet fronts, with the option to integrate SERVO-DRIVE, Blum’s electric opening and closing mechanism. When paired with the brand’s signature soft-close function, even the highest wall cabinets become smooth and accessible—no longer relegated to forgotten storage.

Other featured components included the REVEGO duo+duo pocket door system, the TANDEM drawer runner system, and the 71B9550 hinge model, all discreetly integrated throughout the booth as key elements in a variety of cabinetry. From top-hinged wardrobe doors to the bottom-most drawers of kitchen counters, Blum’s hardware was present throughout, quietly enhancing functionality at every level.

In the kitchen zone, the Hooth booth presented innovations tailored for residential kitchens, featuring high-grade stainless steel as the primary material. Here, Blum’s CLIP top BLUMOTION 107° hinges were selected for their ease of installation, with the CLIP mechanism allowing tool-free door attachment and 3D adjustment enabling precise alignment. The sleek nickel-plated finish paired seamlessly with stainless steel surfaces. Also on display was the AVENTOS HK-xs, a compact stay lift system designed for smaller overhead cabinets, offering an alternative to the bi-fold AVENTOS HF showcased earlier.

If there’s a system for lifting and one for side-hinged openings, then no presentation would be complete without a sliding door solution. REVEGO duo+duo, Blum’s innovative pocket door system, delivers just that—effortlessly concealed within the cabinetry displays at both Gio Home Kitchen and Podium. What sets REVEGO duo+duo apart is its ease and speed of operation, combined with its suitability for compact spaces. The panels slide smoothly into concealed pockets, allowing even cluttered areas to vanish discreetly behind closed doors, restoring a sense of order and calm to the home.

These highlights represent just a fraction of what Blum, through Blue International, hopes to introduce to Thai designers and homeowners, offering innovative alternatives for the domestic environment that often go unnoticed. Hidden behind closed doors, opaque panels, and clean finishes, these components quietly shape the user experience. At Architect’25, Blum invites everyone to take a closer look, beyond the surface, to discover the possibilities that lie within.
