ART JAKARTA 2026 RETURNS WITH 75 LEADING GALLERIES FROM INDONESIA AND BEYOND, BRINGING SOUTHEAST ASIAN CONTEMPORARY ART TO THE GLOBAL STAGE

Art Jakarta, a leading art fair in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, returns for its 2026 Edition, reaffirming its original commitment to propelling the region’s contemporary art scene onto the global stage. This edition marks a key transition to a three-event annual structure (Art Jakarta Papers, Art Jakarta Gardens, and Art Jakarta International Art Fair) to accommodate the art ecosystem’s continued growth.
A major highlight of this year’s Art Jakarta is the welcome of 75 premier galleries. More than half represent home-country Indonesia alongside 33 international galleries (including from Thailand, Singapore, and more), with 19 first-time participating galleries joining the lineup.
The fair maintains its high standard of quality through special presentations collaborating with leading sponsor brands and renowned artists, such as Julius Baer partnering with Handiwirman Saputra to design the VIP Lounge accompanied by printmaking workshops, and Bibit collaborating with Endry Pragusta to present the installation sculpture Lost at Sea.
Additionally, the fair introduces its newest sector, SCOPE (MTN Market), which brings emerging art fairs and local art collectives from six cities across Indonesia to Jakarta. This debuts alongside the return of beloved sectors including SPOT, featuring works beyond standard booth boundaries; SCENE, uniting over 39 artist collectives; and AJX, featuring the Korea Focus project, which brings 14 leading galleries from South Korea.
Art Jakarta 2026 will take place from October 2–4 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Indonesia.
