Since the launch in 2017, Aēsop Toothpaste will finally be available in Thailand for the first time from 1 July 2019. Following certain complications in regards to the patent agreement that took several years to resolve, the release of Aēsop Toothpaste will complete the Oral Care product line, joining the existing Aēsop Mouthwash.
The toothpaste does not contain the foaming agent Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), the synthetic compound saccharin which gives a sweet taste, or fluoride, all of which are usually found in conventional toothpaste. Alternatively, Aēsop incorporated natural, bacteria-fighting agents, mainly wasabi or Wasabia Japonica into their toothpaste. What’s remarkable about Aēsop Toothpaste is its packaging, which is made out of aluminum that helps preserve the texture of the product. Not returning to its original shape like plastic, the aluminum tube also saves space when traveling and, being recyclable, the packaging is environmentally friendly. The product’s screw lid has been designed with the placement of the tube in mind and has a larger diameter to assist its use. Additionally, the packaging’s mint green color is used throughout the campaign to cohesively reflect the cooling effect of the toothpaste’s main ingredient, spearmint.
