Architecture can coexist with nature in many ways. When we look at the form of architecture most closely connected to people—the ‘home’—nature and green space must be accompanied by comfort and privacy. After all, the purpose of a home is not simply to provide a beautiful setting, but to create spaces and an environment in which residents can relax in complete peace of mind, with aesthetics serving as one of many elements.
Park Heritage is an urban residential development featuring architecture and landscape architecture designed by Arsomsilp Community and Environment Architect and interiors by PIA Interior. The design brief called for a living experience that brings together human needs, the comforts of home, and the tranquility of nature within a single development. Given its location in the Pattanakarn neighborhood, just four kilometers from Thonglor, nature was intended to play a role from the moment residents enter the project. A canopy of rain trees shades the main road, gradually easing the bustle of the city into a sense of calm. The development is conceived as an oasis in the heart of Bangkok, with convenient access to schools, hospitals, and shopping centers.

Beyond the main road, the design team from the Arsomsilp Community and Environment Architect used smaller orchid trees to extend the atmosphere of the tree tunnel along the routes leading to individual residential zones. The 32 houses are arranged into four separate zones to enhance privacy. While housing developments typically position the front of each home along the project’s main road, Park Heritage takes a different approach. Each house is accessed via a smaller lane, with open spaces and vegetation separating it from its neighbors. As a result, the swimming pool and green space at the rear of each property remain secluded from neighboring families, allowing residents to open the expansive windows fully and connect the living spaces with the outdoors.

The development offers three house types—S, M, and L—with usable areas ranging from 471 to 778 square meters. Every type has four bedrooms and a private elevator, while differences lie in their size and other features, including the number of parking spaces, common areas, and swimming pools, to accommodate families with different lifestyles. Architecturally, the development was designed to be timeless and support long-term living. The design team reinterpreted classical architecture with greater simplicity, giving the houses and clubhouse a solid, understated appearance. At the same time, the rhythm of vertical elements—such as columns, screens, and openings—interacts with the sunlight to animate the houses through shadows that shift over the course of the day.

Type S
This sense of stillness and tranquility, accentuated by the distinctive use of travertine, also enabled the design team to address the varying degrees of privacy required by different functions within each house. On the first floor, the open-plan living area opens on one side to the outdoor space of plots measuring between 244 and 532 square meters. On the second floor, the façade features an expansive stone wall that conceals the activities within, ensuring complete privacy for the bedrooms and family common areas. The interiors nevertheless retain an open and airy atmosphere through the inclusion of balconies, which serve both as thermal buffers and semi-outdoor living spaces. The third-floor bedrooms are shielded from outside views, allowing the wood-patterned aluminum fins to be spaced farther apart. The fins are arranged in a rhythm that corresponds with the other architectural elements. Since every house faces either north or south, they also provide sufficient shade without having to be positioned too closely together.
In addition to offering a living experience embraced by nature, every house is designed to accommodate multigenerational activities. Living spaces are therefore not limited to the living room and kitchen, which connect to the swimming pool and outdoor greenery. They also include multipurpose areas and sitting spaces interspersed throughout the upper floors and visually connected through double-height spaces. These areas act as private corners that family members can customize to suit their individual needs. Combined with PIA Interior’s design under the concept of ‘Naturally Crafted Elegance,’ which pays meticulous attention to every detail—from the selection of materials and color palettes to the furniture—Park Heritage can be regarded as a harmonious integration of art, architecture, and nature.
For those who seek nature beyond their own homes, Park Heritage also offers The Heritage Garden and a three-story clubhouse, where residents can spend their leisure time at their own pace. The clubhouse provides a comprehensive range of facilities. After visitors are welcomed by the soothing sound of water cascading over stone in the Water Yard, they will find a meeting room for residents who wish to receive guests outside their homes, swimming pools for children and adults, a fully equipped gym featuring Technogym equipment, a spa room, and a golf simulator zone on the clubhouse’s top floor.
