While computers serve as a critical design tool, there is still something irreplaceable about ‘paper’. Almost all architects, interior designers or even graphic designers are still adamant about having their works printed out for thorough and detailed inspection, because at the end of the day, papers are the apparatus that best enables design collaborations and workflow.
With paper remaining as an important factor in the design process, HP continues to develop new printer models to offer solutions that can effectively resolve the three classic pain points that designers often come across: users’ functional experience, printing speed and the quality of colors and lines’ sharpness.
HP DesignJet Studio and HP DesignJet T200 & T600 series are HP’s latest models of printers that come with relatively compact sizes. As the market’s currently smallest large-format plotters, the printers can be conveniently placed on countertops or built-in stands in one of the office’s corners. With designs that are nothing like standard IT equipment, HP DesignJet Studio printers are the perfect addition to design studios’ stylish workspace.

The Perfect Printing Experience
Having used the printers, what distinguishes HP DesignJet Studio and HP DesignJet T200 & T600 series from others is its functionality. It is undeniable that with these models, HP eliminates all the inconveniences that usually come with printers. With HP Click, the MAC and PC compatible application, users can easily drag and drop files they wish to print as the application proceeds to automatically choose the right paper size using the Automatic Sheet Feeder function. HP Smart is a smartphone application with an impressive user interface. It can connect to a user’s cloud storage account and the printer’s internal memory (getting rid of the complication caused by cross-device file transfers which are unavoidable in other printers). Additionally, the online printing function is perfectly convenient for designers and architects who regularly work outside of the office and are out for a site inspection.
HP Smart also comes with other useful functions, such as the Camera Scan feature, where users can quickly scan documents using their smartphone cameras. HP Center allows users to directly chat with HP Virtual Agent for instant consultation regarding HP’s printers (or even order inks). The function that significantly improves the workflow is magnifying and reducing documents directly on the preview page through a simple touch on the touch screen.
Efficiency wise, HP DesignJet T200 & T600 series offers an average printing speed at 25-26 seconds per second per one A1 paper. While using significantly less ink, the printer can print up to 118 pieces of A1 paper, which are five-times higher than the printers of HP’s competitors. The two models can deliver 30% greater color and sharpness quality, making them ideal for architectural working drawings, which require high precision of both colors and details.
Environmentally-Friendly Printers
Another impressive quality of HP DesignJet Studio and HP DesignJet T200 & T600 series is the environmentally-conscious functionalities and properties. With the quality control that follows CarbonNeutral Protocol, recycled plastic is the printers’ manufacturing material. HP DesignJet Studio is notably the first printer series with minimized packaging materials, and controlled logistic process and energy consumption (power/paper/ink) per each printing job. To put things into a better perspective, HP’s implemented improvements attempt to minimize the impacts of its products on the environment means that 7.3-ton carbon dioxide emission has been reduced per year, the number which is equivalent to the carbon dioxide emitted from a 28,968-kilometer car journey.
The development of HP DesignJet Studio and HP DesignJet T200 & T600 series stems from the brand’s extensive survey that collects and studies opinions from designers worldwide, resulting in the printers’ functionalities with superlatively ability to fulfill demands and requirements of users within the design community. The products are considered to be one of the exciting movements from HP in 2020. HP DesignJet Studio and HP DesignJet T200 & T600 series depict the direction in which the brand’s product and research development will be moving towards, and that no matter how committed HP is to improve and innovate its products, they will never compromise the environment for the sake of innovation.
