The materials such as adhesives, coating substances, or even plywood are certified by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and chosen for their low chemical properties, ensuring that the living space is free from invisible particles and volatile matters. The project’s use of lead-free piping also guarantees that the water is clean for consumption and household use.

Regarding the interior design of each unit, the well-being concept is seamlessly incorporated through the use of furniture and appliances, from the steam oven that ensures food retains its goodness and nutrients to BOSCH’s Built-in refrigerator that keeps produce at the peak of nutrition. The double-bowl kitchen sink provides proper, separated spaces for users to clean dishes in the larger bowl and wash vegetables or other fresh ingredients in the smaller bowl without contaminating each other. Meanwhile, the interior design of the rooms also factors in the adverse effects of ‘light pollution’ from the project’s surrounding urban environment in living spaces as well as users’ everyday life and sleep quality. The 100% black-out shade is used to prevent residents from any disturbance caused by excessive amounts of artificial and natural light. The details of the kitchen and lighting reveal a careful consideration of the design elements that intertwine the project’s two core values: a ‘good living space’ and ‘well-being.’ 

ANIL Sathorn 12 provides a good number of common spaces to encourage its residents to lead a healthy lifestyle. The fitness room is fully equipped with workout tools for cardio and weight training exercises, provided in the proper ratio to the number of occupants as indicated by the Well Building Standard. Other functional spaces are included to help everyone maintain a peaceful, relaxed and well-balanced physical and mental health, including the pilates room, meditation room, steam and sauna rooms. The Ozone Pool employs the ozone treatment system, the best pool system to date, to keep the pool clean and sterilised without leaving any toxic residues behind, ensuring users a safe and pleasant swimming experience with a spectacular city view in the background. The walkways surrounding the front garden are designed to intertwine with the beautifully designed landscape of the garden to cultivate an outdoor lifestyle and environment. Despite being referred to as communal spaces, the design is deemed friendly and appealing for users to feel like they are enjoying their time in their own private space.

Last but not least, what sets WELL apart from other building standards is the perception and acknowledgement of users’ emotional experiences that exist beyond physical components. This is embodied in sculptures and wall art in the common areas as an attempt to integrate artistic elements into the living spaces. The incorporation of green spaces in different parts of the common areas also brings incredible lusciousness of growing trees, shading, and glimpses of light and shadows on interior surfaces. Plus, the floor height of three meters means more air flow and less confinement of the living space. While these factors affecting occupants’ mental well-being may not be visible to the naked eye, they are pivotal elements; the invisible touch points that users can sense and feel from the very first time setting foot in ANIL Sathorn 12.
