PODIUM introduces the ENSO SERIES, developed in collaboration with Atelier 2+ as a part of the NEORIENT collection. The concept blends the Eastern tradition and conviviality around a round dining table with the Western pleasure of upholstered seating comfort. The result is the ENSO Dining Sofa Set, where the two worlds converge to create a fresh, tactile experience. Designed to draw people closer together, the set offers the ease of a sofa adjusted to the ideal height for dining, turning shared meals into lasting moments of joy and connection.
To provide both lasting strength and quiet refinement, the series uses American White Oak across its tables, lounge chairs, and sofas. The wood introduces a natural character, available in a spectrum of tones ranging from soft, pale hues to rich, darker shades that suit a variety of lifestyles and interior moods. The series is further distinguished by two-tone upholstery options, offered in both warm and cool palettes that enhance the atmosphere and give each home its own distinctive dimension.

Attention to detail doesn’t stop there. Seeking to elevate the sense of relaxation even further, PODIUM and Atelier 2+ developed the cushions using a carefully layered mix of materials. The result is a seat with just the right firmness, supportive enough to hold the body without sagging, yet retaining the softness of a sofa in perfect balance. The chair’s tactile equilibrium encourages ease while allowing conversations and shared meals around the table to unfold at their natural rhythm.

The dining tables, crafted from refined American White Oak, evoke the Asian tradition of gathering to share food and stories in a spirit of openness. The series includes the round ‘ENSO Round Table-01’ and the elongated oval ‘ENSO Table-01’. Each stands out with sculptural, tapered legs that flare gently toward the ground, detailed with fine grooves running along the grain and softened bases that appear to lift subtly from the floor. These subtle gestures express PODIUM’s signature craftsmanship in solid wood, imbuing the tables with a sense of grounded strength that never feels heavy. Instead, they remain airy, open, and responsive to movement, supporting the flow of bodies and conversations that gather around them.
It isn’t only the structure that sets the tone. The tabletops are equally refined with the use of high-quality American White Oak, selected in true PODIUM spirit. The natural grain is intentionally showcased, blending effortlessly with every detail of the design.

The seating is no less remarkable. Both the ‘ENSO Dining Lounge Chair-01’ and the two-seater ‘ENSO Dining Sofa-01’ are made up of continuous, flowing curves that embrace the body. Their design unites strength and elegance, drawing inspiration from the torii gates of Japanese shrines, reinterpreted through advanced solid-wood bending techniques.
What sets the lounge chair and sofa apart is the extraordinary precision of their form, a quality rarely found in conventional upholstered furniture. The internal framework is engineered with CNC technology, producing components of exacting proportions before being layered with multiple cushioning materials. The result is the structural composition that traditional foam-molding methods simply cannot achieve.
