From 3–5 October, Art Jakarta returns as one of Asia’s most dynamic contemporary art festivals. This year, the fair is backed by strong partners, including Julius Baer, Bibit, Treasury, and BCA, who not only support the event but also spotlight featured artists.

CALL 911. DESTROY BAD ART (2025), Eddie Hara
Among them is Eddie Hara, an Indonesian artist currently based in Switzerland. His work explores the cultural dualities between his homeland and adopted home, as seen in Postcards from the Alps and his latest piece, CALL 911. DESTROY BAD ART, displayed inside the Julius Baer VIP Lounge.

Visitors can also experience a wide range of art from across the region, including:
Warin Lab Contemporary, the only Thai gallery at Art Jakarta this year, is known for curatorial practices centered on environmental themes.
NEO Gallery, located in central Jakarta, celebrates both modern and contemporary Indonesian art through curatorial approaches that weave together narrative and time.

STOLEN MUSE (2025), Adi Gunawan

Solo artists such as Adi Gunawan, whose sculpture STOLEN MUSE (2025) imagines the Mona Lisa abducted by a nameless astronaut—presented by SANKHARA Art. Also featured is Ardi Gunawan, a university lecturer whose diverse practice spans painting, sculpture, and performance—presented by ISA Art Gallery.
Artist collectives and community projects like Krack! (a printmaking studio from Yogyakarta), Kebun Seni (a space for art and sustainability through planting), and Ruang Dini Collect (a Bandung-based gallery showcasing contemporary art).

AJX Korea Focus
Be sure to explore ‘Korea Focus’, a central zone of collaboration between Art Jakarta and Korean galleries. This area brings fluid cultural dynamics and critical artistic responses from South Korea to Southeast Asia, offering rare opportunities for meaningful exchange.
