Amid a fast-moving world and the constant flux of surrounding circumstances, this idea became the starting point for BRT INTERTECH and Context Studio, led by Badintra Balankura, in designing their pavilion for Architect’26. Drawing on the concept of a ‘Pranasathan,’ a space for gathering mindfulness through the breath. The pavilion invites visitors to return to the present moment, set within an exhibition environment that is in motion throughout the day.
The SPC wood-composite material by SMARTMATT is thoughtfully arranged, with small gaps that create a smooth, flowing shape. The design is inspired by the rhythm of human breathing, translated into a three-dimensional form. Both the materials and structure are modular, meaning they can be taken apart and reassembled, allowing the pavilion to adapt to different spaces and uses. Through its form and design process, the pavilion expresses its core idea while also creating a calm and engaging experience for visitors.
