WHO, WHAT, WHEN, WHERE, WHY

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE CREATIVITY?
First of all, we started by looking at the value of the project. We begin the project by brainstorming, having dialogues and deep listening as a tool by applying the data collected from the field and research to synthesize into design issues. The following are the main thinking principles:
                                 1.   Emphasis on participation from all the project parties.
                                2. Emphasis on local wisdom in their context merging with both present and future contexts with a goal to pass on knowledge from generation to generation to be able to develop further.

                                3. Focus on saving construction budget as well as being environmentally friendly by using passive design approach in our design process, to minimize the use of natural resources as efficiently as possible.
                                4. Emphasis on the functionality of the building, it must be served as a place to practicing good deed for user.

DESCRIBE YOUR PRACTICE IN THREE WORDS
“PLACE TO PRACTICE GOODNESS”

WHERE DO YOU GO, OR WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU GET STUCK ON A PROJECT?
We believe that “idea” comes from Allah SWT (It is one of his names), when we get to the point of darkness, we will seek Allah’s SWT blessing every after prayer. We will always get the wonderful ideas.

WHAT PROJECT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
Madinatul Quran school of Albayan Foundation for education, which is the first project from launching our group “
Muslim.Architects.For.Community”. In this project, we get involve from fund raising for purchasing the land to design publication to raise a money for the construction of the building. Currently, we have completed the construction of a prayer building with the help of financial support from the community. This project has shown the expectations of the locals that want to develop their community. It also allows us to discover different ways of architecture practice.

IF YOU COULD INVITE ANY CREATIVE OUT FOR COFFEE, WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE AND WHY?
“Prophet Muhammad (SAW)” is the person whom we wish to converse with the most in life. Yes, it is true he has left this world more than 1400 years ago. But in history of him, being a creative and social developer has still remained visible, which influences us in the ways we work, such as sacrificing for the community by using the architect profession that we skilled at to establish an “ideal society” in which the community will be living according to the purest principle.
