คุณคิดว่านอกจากการสร้างผลกำไร ธุรกิจของคุณได้สร้างอะไรทิ้งไว้อีกบ้าง?

ทุกวันนี้คนไทยกว่า 60 ล้านคน สามารถสร้างขยะได้มากถึง 14 ล้านตันต่อปี แต่ความสามารถในการจัดเก็บขยะกลับมีไม่ถึง 70 % ของขยะที่เกิดขึ้น (ข้อมูลจากกรมควบคุมมลพิษ กระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม) ซึ่งนี่ไม่ใช่แค่เพียงปัญหาในเรื่องของการจัดการขยะในเชิงการจัดสรรพื้นที่ แต่ยังเป็นปัญหาในเรื่องของมลพิษ สารตกค้าง การผลาญทรัพยากรและการทำลายสิ่งแวดล้อม

art4d ขอเชิญทุกท่านมารู้จักกับ Circular Economy หรือ “ระบบเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน” ในกิจกรรม Talk และ Workshop โดย Ian Bamford ซึ่งดำรงตำแหน่งเป็น Commercial Director ของ EPSRC Centre Innovative Manufacturing in Industrial Sustainability, University of Cambridge โดยเวิร์คช็อปครั้งนี้ จะช่วยให้ผู้เข้าร่วมทุกท่านเข้าใจถึงประสิทธิภาพของการจัดการของเสียจากการผลิตและบริโภค

สุดท้ายแล้ว เราอาจจะต้องย้อนกลับมาทบทวนกันสักนิดว่า “เรา” ในฐานะผู้บริโภค, ผู้ประกอบการ หรือนักออกแบบซึ่งนับเป็นผู้มีศักยภาพในการออกแบบแขนงต่างๆ จะช่วยกันแก้ไขปัญหาด้วยวิธีใด หรือออกแบบ “พฤติกรรม” ของมนุษย์ยุคปัจจุบันให้เป็นไปในทิศทางใด

Nowadays, 60 million Thais produce up to 14 million tonnes of waste per year. Yet, according to the Pollution Control Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Thailand’s waste management capabilities can manage only less than 70% of all the waste produced. Because of this, the issues lie not only in terrain-related waste management but also in pollution, residual toxins, the wasteful use of resources and environmental destruction.

art4d invites you all to familiarize yourself with the Circular Economy in the talk and workshop led by Ian Bamford, Commercial Director, EPSRC Centre Inovative Manufacturing in Industrial Sustainability, University of Cambridge. This activity will help you to understand the efficiency of managing waste from production and consumption.

We, as a consumer, entrepreneur or designer may have to think over the matter or how to design the human behavior.

The activity will be held from 13:00 – 19:00 on the 9th of November 2018 at the multi-purpose room, 1st floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
